Well Organized Strategies Of India-New Zealand Hockey Match

A hockey match between India and New Zealand ended up in a draw. It was first test of four match series between the two strong teams. New Zealand's captain Phil Burrows was able to score a goal in third minute of match.

However, Indian captain, Sandeep Singh understood their strategy because in second session, the visitors were shacked by SV Sunil's goal. Indian team changed their tactics by altering to short passes instead of stiff striking in to the field.

In the opening sessions, India started brightly and got a plenty corner when New Zealand's defender Richard Petherick committed a foul inside the sphere but India missed three chances. Both sides were conducting well organized strategies because the Kiwis, who lost two matches with India in Chandigarh are now able to dominate the first half. Consequently, the second test between India and New Zealand will be played on 27th March 2009.
