The Luckiest Cricket Captain Became Unlucky

28th Feburary, a T20 match was being played between India and New Zealand. If you want to see that how much luck matters into a game then you should watch that match. It was a kind of match in which you would not come to know that which team is going to win. It's a T20 match that was held at Westpac stadium in Wellington. New Zealand won the toss and elected to field first and forced India to Bat first.

The start of Indian innings was just ok as Sehwag got out in third over by just scoring 24 blasting runs. That was the first shock that Indian team had to bear. After the dismissal of Sehwag, it was turn of SK Raina, also known as Youngster. Indian team had many expectations from him but he failed to fulfill the hopes of Indian Fans. He also got out by facing just 4 balls and scored no run. Both these Indian Batsmen didn't contribute in the score and the end cricket results are that total score of Indian team remained at 36.

After adding just 6 runs to the total score, Gambhir got edged on the bowl of Butler and the catch was taken by McCullam. Indian team was getting into deep troubles as they had lost 3 wickets on the total of 47. At the other end, Yuvraj was scoring runs by playing blasting strokes. He hit 4 sixes and 3 four's. By scoring 50 blasting runs, Yuvraj got out and YK Pathan came to bat along with his Captain MS Dhoni. Dhoni who has been considered as the luckiest captain in the history of cricket became unlucky in that match. He scored 28 runs by consuming 30 deliveries.

At a t20 match, such kind of batting is known as wicket saving innings. YK Pathan, once again flopped and got out on zero. RA Jadeja, scored 19 runs on sixteen balls and IK Pathan scored 15 runs on ten balls. This was the whole story of Indian Batting line up. The live cricket scores of Indian Players are quoted above and any one could see the performance of each player easily.

New Zealand got the target of 150 runs to win. To chase this target JD Ryder and BB McCullum came to opened the innings. They both together gave a solid opening stand to their team and gave a 53 runs opening stand. At seventh over Ryder got out on the ball of Zaheer Khan. But BB McCullum continued his battle with Guptill who came to bat after the dismissal of Ryder. Guptill got out after scoring just 10 runs and it was turn of LRPL Taylor to give support to BB McCullum.

Taylor gave support to his partner and scored 27 runs. When he got out New Zealand required 25 runs to win on just 15 balls. All the hopes were on BB McCullum and he gave his hundred percent to the team. On the very next ball Oram, who came in place of Taylor, got out and one more ball reduced. The next over, 19th over, was of Yuvraj Singh and New Zealand taken out more then the 70 percent of the targeted runs from that over. It was a big blow for India at that time.

The last over was of IK Pathan, he bowled very well as on last ball New Zealand need 1 run to win. Pathan took the match to such extent on the base of his brilliant bowling. On Last Ball, BB McCullum played the shot in the air and the catch was drooped in the circle. In the meanwhile, a single has been taken by
the Batsmen and New Zealand won the match by 5 wickets. The Luckiest Captain has to face the defeat just because luck goes in the favor of New Zealand.
